School art project: Salvador DalΓ - I see you in our cit...
This has been a pain to finish in time but I've managed to finish it with decent quality at least. 4 days of work, night for night, with barely any sleep. I feel quite exhausted... and this wasn't even the only project I had to finish. Next week are the finals, and after that... discharge depression.
I could have put in more detail, but time was running out... and I was already adding more quality than required.
We had to choose an artist we like and so I was going with Salvador DalΓ. I haven't put too much mind into his art or life before we had to write our 20-page essay about the artist's biography and art style.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy something different once in a while. This was drawn on a 50x60 cm canvas with acrylics.

Yeah Dali allegedly had a means of keeping himself awake for days on end by holding a metal spoon over a metal plate, so if he drifted off he'd drop the spoon on the plate and the resulting noise would stir him back to consciousness again. The supposed logic was that this way his mind couldn't dream in the normal manner so it would compensate by dreaming while he was awake, thus allowing him to commit those dreams to canvas.
Name any of his more bizarre works. Chances are they came to be via the above method.
