Here in Montgomery, IL, just outside of the far edge of urban sprawl of Chicago, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway's (1) ex-Burlington Northern (2), exx-Chicago, Burlington & Quincy (3) main line to the southwest splits from its other former CB&Q main line to the west, while the Burlington Junction Railway (4), owner of the GP9 sitting in the foreground, joins in. Meanwhile, on the BNSF main, an Illinois RailNet (5) manifest train running on trackage rights over BNSF heads for Eola Yard. The company that owns it also owns Manitoba's far-north Hudson Bay Railway (6), which has leased some older Canadian Pacific (7) engines, hence the mixed power on the Illinois RailNet train. There! Seven Railroads!
