This is a picture of D. Dan as a vampire. ^\/^.
The one I made last year ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2909192/ ) was a first at using my Manga filters and an attempt at making a cute picture. I also wanted to try out a dramatic cape action. ^\/^.
In this one I was also inspired by anime. In this case it was a cross between Bleach, Vampire Hunter D, and Hellsing. The Bleach part is the buffness of D. Dan's muscles. The Vampire Hunter D part is the dramatic wing action like in the fight scene in the latest Vampire Hunter D between Vampire Hunter D and the male vampire near the end of the movie. The Hellsing part is with D. Dan being dramatic while seemingly standing still or walking standing straight up like how Alucard tends to be. The part with D. Dan being badass looking is also from Hellsing. LOL. ^\/^.
What is happening here is D. Dan, having recently turned into a vampire, is in the midst of unfolding his leathery wings while standing up, or hanging upside down depending on viewpoint and such. LOL. ^\/^.
One can clearly see where he was bitten during an evening training session. The location of the bite marks can be seen by the two dots on his neck. D. Dan's beak has clearly changed as well with the addition of fangs built into his beak. D. Dan's eyes have changed due to the changing. ^\/^.
Originally wearing his casual clothing, the process of D. Dan turning into a vampire has caused his muscles to grow in relation to his new found strength. As a result, along with his new wings, his shirt was ripped from his body being no longer able to fit his increased muscle mass and his chest size. Even his legs have grown in size. His silk pants, having been baggy at first, now from tightly around his widened muscled waist and legs. ^\/^.
Drawn in traditional pencil and digitally scanned and cleaned with a few layers of the same image with the Overlay blending option chosen with a couple passes through a Cutout filter to smooth the lines and lessen the grain like look of the paper and any left over ghost lines. That is six layers by the way with the logo being the seventh. (Original image, 3 Overlay copies, 2 Cutout filter copies and the logo). I must honestly make a tutorial to show everyone what I mean. LOL. ^\/^.
