Rakant in the middle of the night found himself relaxing by the lair's edge, just within the forest. Idly he fiddled with some runes on the ground before him, nothing terribly important but requiring his concentration never the less. A wide yawn escapes the obsidian and his eyes slowly blink the tears away; sleep was calling him but he wasn't quite ready to go inside just yet. A few minutes into his work again a little bright light flickers on the edge of his vision, then fades away. Then again. Once more... and again... aaaand again. Eventually, Rakant turns his head to regard Baba as she floats up into the air, chirps once, and slowly descends back out of view. The little dandegryph kicks off the ground and floats back up into view of Rakant, chirps once more, and starts to float back down like a leaf falling from a tree. Rakant sighs tiredly and extends a talon out for the little creature to wrap her tail around, which she does happily. Now dangling from Rakant's talon, Baba gives another chirp and a yawn of her own, indicating exactly what she wants.
Rakant sighs a little and puffs some smoke from his nostrils, "Alright Baba... let's go to bed. Did Takaani send you after me?" The dandegryph stares blankly at Rakant's snout and doesn't utter a peep. Rakant rolls his eyes. "At least you're loyal." Rakant plucks up his unfinished runes and settles Baba onto one of his horns. Together the pair venture back into the lair to find somewhere comfortable to fall asleep for the night.
