Sounds like an old law to combat the KKK or similar groups who would wear hoods, that or thieves who wear masks. A touch odd that they'd use it in this situation. :/

We got out before the cops got there and went back into her dad's jeep and hid the stuff, and when the cop asked us if we'd seen anybody, we said no, but on the way out, they asked her dad and he didn't know we'd already been asked and he told them it was us and they made us get out of the car and told us it was a federal offense to lie to a cop and they tried to arrest us and her dad screamed his face off at them. XD I loved it. Even her evil bitch step mom stood up for us.

That all depends on where you are from.. I've done public suiting all across Toronto, Ontario and the cops have even posed for photos with me.. so the whole illegal to wear a mask unless its Halloween thingy is LIKELY just them attempting to find something to charge you with.
