Clearly not revenge as you just read, right? Just a little fun with their pals but that was the chosen title of the Dirtybird sketch this is based on and it drew enough folks in that one friend Nettaj, on seeing it asked another, Zangoosewriter if he could do a story around it and he agreed right there in the comments one year ago. I thought it was rhetorical but now here it is. Oh sure there were signs along the way that something was in the works. Being asked questions like what the gist of the pic originally was? Primarily it was tickle for tickle's sake I said, Hake and I really did not think of how the characters got buried in sand with only their head, hands and feet exposed, just that they were found that way and the sidekicks took advantage. Does Tik talk?, I was asked. Not really, but like Teller in the comedy magic duo Penn and Teller he is the real brains here but he doesn't really command anyone to do things, he just quietly gets things done. Tik is flattered to be Duncan's buddy but for Duncan there is no question that they were made for each other, complement each other. And then the other surprise of fate is that a buizel and pincurchin would end up friends with a cute shinnichi ferret and his enchanted paintbrush.

Nettaj has surprised me with another gift just days after the last one because they were coincidentally finished around the same time. How lucky to have friends in the fandom that give gifts and how lucky we all are to have Zangoosewriter as he has had a heck of a year due to health issues. Thanks guys, you have managed to bring to life a pic that needed more explanation.
