My first Furry Foster Family story where young human kids tell their stories of being adopted by anthromorphic animal families.
The Cheesemens:
Hi my name is Marcus Cheesemen and this is my Furry Foster Family.
My story begins at Noah's Arks Orphanage where I was an orphan. My Mom was single from a nasty relationship with my Dad. He gotten into some bad drug dealing business which had gone down badly. It gotten so badly that on one of his deals he gotten into a shootout and he took a life which gave him a life sentence in prison. My Mom did her best to raise me but the stress from dealing with the lost of my father and she grew addicted to some of the bad stuff my dad had been pushing to the streets. It caused her to go mentally unstable that she nearly tried to kill me with a kicthen knife. Sadly now she is in a mental Insititute on a very long sad road to recovery.
It wasn't so bad being in the Orphanage but I wasn't exactly a poster child for good behavior. I don't know I guess I was just letting the bad things happen in my life get to me. I didn't get along with some of the other kids. I gotten into fist fights with some tougher boys. After going through consoling and therapy, I was qualify from being a bad kid to a good kid in hopes of getting adopted. You would imagine how happy I was when I heard that a family has adopted me and the orphanage help drove me to my new home. I was so excited to see what my new family is going to be like...that is until that I saw what kind of family I was going to be living with.
I can't believe it. I was adopted by a family of Mice called the Cheesemens. There is Maddie Cheesemen the Mom, there is Adrian Cheesemen the Father and I got a big sister named Vanessa Cheesemen. I have heard of these animal people called Furry's but never thought that I would be adopted into a family of Furry's. Most humans and furry's don't get along very well I was always told that Furry's would rather hunt down humans like trophies and would treat them like slaves. So my excitement went down to disappointment in a flash. The Mom rushed up to me and gave me a hug saying "Hello Marcus. Welcome to your new home sweetie! My name is Maddie this is Adrian and Vanessa! Oh you are just as adorable as your profile pic from the orphanage. You must be hungry I hope you like grilled cheese sandwiches."
"Uh...I do!" I said nervously. What can I say I was worried. Why would mice want a human boy? Don't they preferred to adopted another mouse in their family. "Well son you are going to love our new home. We got a room all set up for you. They say you were into baseball but I didn't know who your favorite teams were so I just picked up some baseball posters out of random." I told him "Oh I don't have a favorite. I like all kinds of baseball teams." It was true I was into baseball and I hoped to work into the big leagues one day. Which explains why I often dress like a player. Vanessa lead me to my room and saw that it was very cozy with a desk, a small flat screen TV, various baseball posters of random teams and players. Vanessa told me "I always wanted a little brother. Mommy and Daddy where happy especially when they learn...I'm sorry about your parents."
I told her "It's...okay." I guess I wasn't okay. I was just lying I didn't want her to see how hurt I was. Vanessa broke the silent when she said "We should hurry to the kitchen. Daddy is trying out a new cheese soup recipe for his restaurant and wants our opinion. Between me and you all of his cheese soups are just cheese sauces with different flavors." I told her "Your Dad owns a restaurant?"
"Own's it, runs it and is the best chef. It's that cheese theme restaurant that mostly caters to follow rodents but other species been coming in they just love our food. Even the cats enjoy our cheese meals. Mommy and I sometimes help with the orders or cleaning up the restaurant so it's a family business. Come on you have to try out his three cheese and bean burritos they are out of this world."
At the table she wasn't exaggerating when she told me how great my new father's cooking was. He didn't just specialize in cheese dishes. He also had salads, pasta meals, hamburgers, sandwiches, etc. I guess he must have gone overboard wanting to make me feel welcome at home with his cooking that there are hardly any room for us to sit and eat. "Oh Adrian," said my new mom "you always cook too much."
"Sorry babe. You know I'm used to cooking for a lot of people. Oh well at least we have plenty of leftovers we can give to the neighbors."
In a few weeks of living with my new family has been very pleasant. Maddie my mom is very kind and caring to me especially after that breakdown I had. It was the day I got to help out at their restaurant, Maddie helped Adrian in the kitchen, Vanessa help with the orders and me along with a few busboys help clear tables. It was hard but also kind of fun I never got to see what it was like behind the restaurant scene. Things were going fine that is until I saw this one costumer, he was a big nasty boar who just finished off his tenth helpings of cheese spaghetti pastas. "Mine if I clear your table for you sir?" I asked politely but he gave me this nasty glare like I just ruined his favorite book or something. He snorted and said "What this? A filthy human? Bad enough seeing your kind on the street now you have to go ruin my appetite? Where are your parents? I want to speak to them!" My Mom and Dad rushed out with Vanessa behind them, my mouse dad spoke to him "I'm his father what seems to be the problem?" The boar rudely told him "He's your son? You can't have a human for a son! You let one human here you'll infect us with their germs. Send him back to his real dirty human family where his kind belongs!" That gotten me so upset I yelled "I DON'T HAVE A HUMAN FAMILY TO GO HOME TO OKAY! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"
I ran out of the restaurant and ran all the way home. My mouse Mom ran after me. She found me in my room and saw that I was crying. I never cried so hard before in my life that my eyes were red and puffy from the tears. She sat down next to me on the bed. "Oh Honey, it's okay. It's okay I'm here."
"Why did you guys adopted me?" I sobbed. "It's true I don't belong here, I don't belong with you, I don't even belong with my real family. No one loves me not even my real Mom and Dad."
"Oh Marcus that is not true." she said as she hugged me closer. Her fur felt warm and fuzzy as she patted my head. "Sweetie I know that life hasn't been easy. Which is why we adopted you. We mice know what it's like to be judged. Some thinks we are filthy disease carrying vermin's but that is not true. The orphanage told us from your profile that you had a hard life and you need a loving caring family. We always wanted a son and it didn't matter if you were human, a mouse or even a cat. We believed that every child needs love and you do have people who love you. You shouldn't let guys like him tell you that you are not our family. We say that you belong to us as a family and we will love you and be there for you. If you want to you can stay here and cry as much as you want. I'll be here when you're ready."
That night I slept a bit heartbroken but looking at the picture of my new family and hearing my new mom's words in my head. I smiled then went to sleep. The next day I learn my Dad banned that creep from the restaurant and put up a new policey that "All species are welcome. We refuse service to anyone who treats anyone badly" I am now living a happy life with my new family. I go to a great school, made new friends despite being one of a few humans in a school of furrys. I even signed up for little league team and recently just won our first home game. My family was proud and happy for me and I am very proud and happy living with my Furry Foster Family.
The End.
