I had just finished watching Watchmen and some other "superhero" movies when I started doodling this. In a sense, it's Watchmen inspired since it's a character I use in a Watchmen RP.

Bio: The Highway Man was born Calisha Moss in the year 3035, Earth at this point has been in a fragile peace, mostly due to most of the population leaving the diseased rock and colonizing elsewhere. Those left on the planet consisted of naturalists, scientists, and others who live in balance with nature in hopes of healing the damages done. Calisha was born into a Naturalist family. Naturalists not only tend to nature but because of trace radiation poisoning in the water and soil, they are what is known today as "Mutant". They actually have powers that aid with their grounds keeping. Calisha matured like any other child, a tomboy but still like the rest of her peers other than her abilities. At age 18, she took a vow to be Earth Kisser, to work in the nurseries in helping seedlings develop. There she met the man she married and settled down into a life. Years later, a terrifying nightmare wakes her, it was too real to ignore. She went for a walk to calm her mind when she was attacked. Brutally ravaged and disfigured, she was left for dead. When she came to, she woke to find her home burning, her husband dead with their child in his arms. He had tried to flee the carnage. In a rage of grief, she took a knife and sliced off her breasts, cauterizing the bleeding wounds with the embers. She renounced her femininity and her name, the Earth seemed to weep for her, swallowing her away. She found herself in a strange place and time and her transformation into the Highway Man began.
