This is a muscle growth series focusing on characters from the entire universe of Sonic the Hedgehog, including the less known ones. I suggested this entry to  backyardgameboy as we are concerned about the Red Stone arc lagging behind the other two arcs.

Life in the ocean had quickly become too chaotic to run normally, due to countless numbers of lava geysers and earthquakes, and an enormous army of muscular warriors consisting of many unfortunate South Ocean mobians and Northern Oceans Egg Legionnaires. This prompted one city of Meropis to start an immediate evacuation, with King Puff leading the fleeing citizens and some guards to the north and Queen Angelica remaining behind until the last citizen had left.

Echo the Dolphin, as one of Meropis City Guards, was of course required to stay put, but she was more worried about her brother, Razor the Shark. She requested Princess Undina (who also wished to stay behind due to her concern for the guards' safety) to let her go to look for Razor, totally unaware of what really happened to him. The princess approved and had Captain Striker accompany her. As she began her search, she started with Coral the Betta's place as it was nearby Meropis, only to find in horror that Razor had already turned the pacifist Coral into a warmongering brute. Coral turned to her helpless apprentice Pearly with an evil smile, prompting Echo to charge at the big betta. Razor tried to stop her but Striker put a stop to that. Echo then quickly brought Pearly out of the cave, followed by her captain, and then the angry aquatic monsters who gave chase.

Getting close to the gates of Meropis, Razor managed to grab Echo's tail, forcing the dolphin to let Pearly off and have Captain Striker bring inside. Striker on the other hand objected to Echo's quick decision, but quickly turned to the wrathful Coral lunging at frozen-still Pearly. As Striker swang his staff to ward off Coral, Razor pulled in and held Echo tight. More guards came out to ward out more of Razor's upcoming minions, allowing Striker and Pearly a safe passage inside. Agigated minions such as Coral began hitting the walls to force themselves in. While Pearly was quickly brought under Undina's care, Striker took time to reach the top of the city walls, only to find in horror Echo transforming in front of the red-glowing stone held by Razor.

Heat died down after an hour, prompting aquatic monsters to retreat in dismay, while the guards locked the gates and began resting. Pearly found the proper time to grieve for the loss of her closer friends, Undina found a way to comfort her, and Queen Angelica found the good escort for another small group of citizens, this time Pearly and Undina were required to join, as the queen feared that the walls were near beyond repairs, and worse, Echo had knowledge on how to get past them. While Pearly grievingly agreed, Undina was hesistant to leave both her mother and the remaining guards to danger, but Captain Striker assured her that he would go back and bring the queen to safety as well. After a tearful hug from Queen Angelica, Princess Undina grabbed Pearly by a hand, while Striker joined his guards leading the actually last group of citizens bound for north.
