I originally wrote this story for a literature class based on the "monomyth" in Joseph Campbell's "The Hero With a Thousand Faces."
I did not originally intend to put this on FA, but I put some furry-ish hints in there.
There's a bit of TF but it's not major enough to put in that category I don't think.
