If I were to have my own 'Turning Red' experience it might look something like this.
As much as I'd love to be a red panda, I have no Chinese ancestry that I've been able to find, and in keeping with the theme of ancient powers tied to heritage, I think my form would have to be a giant Celtic badger - after all, they are one of the closest things to a raccoon in England and Ireland. And there still need to be more badger TFs out there.
Even though red is my favorite color, and though there is a rare genetic variation that creates 'red' badgers, the color is so tied to the Chinese heritage that I made my badger form green, which is much more Celtic, and I think, pretty striking.
