Back in the 1950s, there was a whole line of comic books designed to scare children with the horrors of what was inside a toontown.
Here's a panel from issue #4 of Cartoon Crimes.
Benny the Fox is a regular member of the Fortunate Foxes and is frequently found enforcing various contracts.
He's one toon that doesn't mind getting his gloves dirty.
