The creature looks immersed in itself and does not seem to react to what is happening around it. The flesh is riddled with holes through which larvae can be seen. Hundreds of insects crawl from place to place and not a single one leaves the body. One gets the feeling that they are part of this creature, and not the parasites that have settled in it.

Asphodel is a creature with a massive head and many appendages. Part of the appendages look like hanging tentacles, the other part is located on the sides and looks like thorny foliage. There is a diamond-shaped hollow in the center, emitting a faint glow. There are six eyes around the hollow. everyone is synchronous. The body is thin but flexible.

- The size of the creature does not exceed 2 meters
- Is most often in a sitting position
- Under the tentacles is a huge mouth without a tongue, full of teeth. Presumably the teeth continue in the pharynx
- The tentacles are strong and sticky
- Maggots can bite. A large number of bites causes paralysis
- It rarely moves, but if it moves, it moves quickly

Apparently, the creature feeds on its own flesh. The main danger is represented by larvae. They devour the victim as well as their host. It does not show interest or aggression if it keeps its distance in an outstretched tentacle or limb.
