Since this piece is to be digitally colored, the solid blacks and crosshatching had be edited out, which I`ve done here. In addition, I've closed up almost all the gaps in the linework of the enclosed objects (for future flood fills) and cleaned up any remaining rough edges in the character lineart. I know I shouldn't spend so much time futzing with individual pixels on full-size scans since most of the roughness vanishes when the pic is resized, but I tend to do it anyway. Next step is to straighten the panel border, extend the bedspread past Roland`s foot and fix some of the anatomical oddities on Tatiana (this is a fairly old pic, if you recall).

One question I ask of those viewing this, is should I straighten out the linework of the curtains, bed frame and mattress? I'm inclined to make all the vertical/horizontal lines arrow-straight, although that would sort-of detract from the hand-drawn appearance.
