"Real isn't how you are made, it's a thing that happens to you" said the Skin Horse to the Velveteen Rabbit. Before there was Toy Story, Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure, or the Brave Little Toaster, there was the story of the Velveteen Rabbit. The Velveteen Rabbit has to be one of my favorite children's books, so many adaptations of this story though.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of this story and I'd though I'd draw the scene where the rabbit meets the wise old Skin Horse that explains the phenomenon of love from a child making the toys real.
