Aww, you're supersweet, Henrique! That's an adorable surprise! Of course I have watched the Pokémon Presents that teased the new Pokémon game and the starters. Fuecoco sure is a funny lil fella and I'm sure that Shiny would get along greatly with anothoer Crocodilain cousin so-to-say.
When I saw the reveal, my initial idea for an art motif was like Shiny getting some amusing paintover to be like, a bodypainted Totodile with the white facepaint, red body and the yellow details on him, playing on the joke of that you could that way bring your Totodile to the new region (because it's likely prohibited by the game's creators again sadly) with a disguise, or that to me Fuecoco in spirit is pretty much similar to Totodile from the first raw impressions; or simply Shiny and Fuecoco hanging out having hot coco together. X3

Of course I know that Fuecoco will have their own personality traits yet. The online description says that it's more of a laid back little guy who takes their time with things. So perhaps they aren't presented as really energetic and bouncy like a Totodile in the end but that sure doesn't mean that they can't also enjoy having happy company and perhaps just like to laze and relax around a little bit more.
Other than that, my first impression of the red fellow was that they reminded me of Applin though I guess they are likely more like a little chili pepper Crocwhich of course makes sense based of the Pokémon Fire Typing. They sure were instantly my favorite among the three starters from the new region.
Cannot tell yet what to expect of the new Pokémon game but I wish all folks who might play it in their preferred version sooner or later, that they'll all have fun with the new characters and ideas that will have to be shown at some point yet.

You did lovely on the painting, Henrique. I'm sure Caf would wonder if he saw that version of Shiny either thinking: "Oh, look at that outfit the little guy is wearing. Looks just like what Shiny is often seen with." Or something like: "Is that Shiny?" Though Shiny would pretty much wave at Caf, hop up and run over to greet him as soon as he notices him anyways. So his dude would quickly know that it is Shiny there but transformed.
Further in regards of your paintings, I always enjoy the toony nature of colored outlines. It just adds that picture book contrast to the usual comic-like black outlines and is that neat extra step to make an image look friendly and harmonic in a sense. I often struggle myself with the choice of outline colors, so I often more tend to use black outlines but you have a good understanding in how to find the right balance between the basic colors and choosing the right tone for the outlines. Do you have a trick there or do you mostly go by feel until you enjoy the result?
Fuecoco Shiny looks adorable sitting there like he's waiting for somebody, perhaps taking in the views around him, and possibly also listening to the occasional music track on his headphones. Neat body expression with his arms resting in his lap. And his belongings all look great the way you drew them here. Additionally I like the little touchups of soft shading you used in parts. Not sure if you always paint the background gradient effect on your own but let me tell you, you make them look really well. Gives off a nice and I'd call it batik feel. You know, like that technique of coloring a shirt with gradients of color by binding the textile and dipping it inside the colors.

Heh, you're welcome for that suprise for it! and good to see how you think on that idea, i could still probably see Fuecoco as like, that very silly Pokémon in all of the sudden, such like Totodile does too, and to be honest, they combines very well togheter as a fun time overall! And also i like that idea for how Totodude could be like Fuecoco for it, and just like the artwork, it still combines well to be honest, and it feels somehow so good for it! heh

Of course we can't so much expect for how the new generation goes besides the trailers and footages that we have, but even so, i could see something that could be fun by the Pokémon(s) alone for it! senses is what people mostly like when comes to the games, well of course that they can't be amazing like what happend recent 3D games, but i do think that they can have fun besides the flaws for it!
And for real, Fuecoco and Sprigatito are like, Pokémon(s) that i mostly enjoyed the most to see them firstly due to how they design are getty enough to know my atention for it, so it will be very enjoyable stuff for it!

And welp, thanks for it! It was like, some of my first impressions when i did it see Fuecoco on the presentation, and i coun't resist to try to make it for it, and to be honest, Caf will feel confused and yet, suprised to see Totodude being now in a Fuecoco body after an transformation or such, and i could think of them going to having fun to see new experiences by that alone!
Related to my style of drawing, the colored outlines is something that i always enjoyed to see it, because it feels so soft and yet, so good to use it somehow, i do think is more of how i feel when comes to result, mostly how i do'it regrating about this coloration is more making the original color darker for the lines, not so much, but making the way that feels soft to use on the artwork as such! So this type you can use it in order to make a good artwork on it!
I try it to make him a feeling of more adorableness and yet, trying to make him into a good feeling as always being an Totodude that we all like! but in a different type of specie for it. Welp recarding about the background gradient effect, i yes do'it by my own! well of course that i need it specials paint tools in order to make it easy (being an gradient paint tool and a 3 pencil paint tool from Krita), but everything that i does i try it to make by my own, eather using references or not, and makes feeling a good satisfiction! and hey, i know how it feels about the batik feel tecnique, and really tho, it really feels like one, and mostly is what makes even better for me for more softness and more like, a good style to use it!

Hehe, that's a definitive possibility, Henrique (just say if you prefer me saying Caf also even when not referring to your character). I saw a recent concept art of a possible evolution for Fuecoco and in that one they were all just enjoying to snooze and laze about which was a cute trait in its own right. Reminded me somewhat of lazy Slowpokes.
And glad you like my other idea. I generally enjoy for Shiny both Transformations to various degrees (like he could become a different species completely or there is also the option for a TF to just be like a fusion or a gradually applied thing as if his DNA got infused with aspects of some other Mon) and what generally is cosplay and makeover to give him an amusing new look in art motifs. Had a few examples of how folks imagined Shiny's Totodile species swapped briefly for something else and I find it generally cute. Most of the time I assume that Shiny would likely be a smaller specimen like a kid-sized version of something though I never mind if people want to grow Shiny bigger when they change him.

Fuecoco sure is another lovely idea there. Often could imagine plenty of other Reptiles/Crocs/Dinosaurs and other species to be an amusing change for Shiny and people are always giving me a smile with their fun suggestions there. =3

Even if the games might not be the greatest, I generally tend to look forward to all the cool designs, the art and animations. The show and the videos on YouTube usually come and bring a lot towards enjoying each Pokémon generation.

You are already rather experienced with that software, I can see, dude. I'm very happy and honored that you dedicated one of your projects to my dear mascot Shiny again. Since we are mentioning it currently, are there any certain character species that you like a lot yourself, Henrique? Like ones from games you layed or shows/movies you watched?
I often have enjoyed various Alligators, Crocodilians, Dragons, Dinosaurs and other Reptilian/Amphibian character designs myself. Growing up with a bunch of Nintendo I often looked at Super Mario characters and found all the various folks like Yoshis, Koopas and so on rather cute and there exist various other Pokémon (like Sandile, Tryrunt, Axew and others), even Digimon (Guilmon, Agumon, Dracomon aside of various ones) are al fun options that seem very compatible in my opinion. =D

Welp, from any medias, i have like, few of them, Like the Cyndaquil Evolution Line, Moogles, Dark Latex from Changed, Puffles, Yoshis, and a few others that i can't relembred by now, i just enjoy some of the cute and fluffy species of it, i just enjoyed how the species goes, principaly the specie itself is pretty cute to see it by themself! heh

So all of the above would likely be something you'd find fun to adapt as a TF for Caf, I assume? Cyndaquil is based of a Porcupine, Moogles are like little Pigs....Looking for Puffles on Google it shows me a link to a Club Penguin thingie that looks like a blue stressball with eyes. The Latex from the Taiwanese game Changed are pretty much a bunch of different Animals but all rubbery/slimy. I guess Caf is much like the White Latex creatures. And Yoshi is of course a fun Dinosaur. Could imagine it be amusing for Shiny and Caf both to cosplay in matching colors plus the Yoshi boots. Or perhaps Caf would surprise Shiny by appearing as a Pokémon version of himself. He's a shapeshifter, isn't heß =3

Welp, Caf can't be shapeshifter as far as i know due to Lore reasons, but in non-canon senses could be this case, senses will be a fun threadment (and look that on the list i forgor that Mook from EarthBound series), Caf basically is a Symbolic Cat latex as a creature, and sure enough that he combines more with White creatures on it! I just really inspired by the Dark Latex in order to not only to create Caf, but also Synbolic Cat species as a whole! And about both having fun being like base on certain specie, will be a fun times, and to be honest, Caf would having fun more times with Shiny when comes to both with same specie or different specie, heh

Hehe, wouldn't mind the reusing the Symbolic Cat Shiny to bring Shiny along for playtime with Caf, though Shiny would surely be quite surprised to meet a Totodile that is Caf in disguise. Amusing shenanigans of two dudes both getting transformed sure are always cute. Shiny would likely be a bit slightly shorter than the big Caf but They'd likely make a funny duo no matter if Yoshis or Latex or a bunch of other friendly species. ^_^

Yep! heh, it will be just a fun time only in transformations stuff, and like cmon, being transformed on friend's specie, while the friend is transformed on your specie is a good fun experiences of that!

Oh, a species swap, you mean. That sure makes for amusing surprises.
Something that's also quite popular as an out of the ordinary occurance in shows is the so called case of 'Freaky Friday' where two characters swap bodies because of somebody switching their spirits/souls kinda. In Pokémon there is the Mystical called Manaphy that has a move called Heart Swap where it makes their antenna tips glow and the souls of two Pokémon and people get swapped for a brief while as their eyes glow blue. It's basically a way of Manaphy to confuse people while they get away from them on FA I've seen a bunch of people also just make Manaphy do it for pranks on folks.

Oh! the "Freaky Friday" thing is actually good too! i did it see some, i even try one before, and it really fun on how it is! imaginaring Caf on Shiny's body being just confused while Shiny on Caf's body being like very VERY happy on it!

Shiny is easy to amuse with changes, especially when there is a mirror nearby. Shiny likes to watch changes happening and usually feels like there is something magical to having basically a copy of himself showing every angle of his looks.
Reminds me, I don't know if Caf ever likes to try on outfits or costumes but Shiny is all over that for sure. It's like decorating yourself and putting on a cute and fashionable showcase. If Caf at any point would feel himself artistic or happen to know somebody who searches somebody to try body painting on, Shiny would likely volunteer on the spot. Standing still and letting you be tickled by some paintbrush is a huge fun for the Totodile.
In terms of TFs what yet comes to mind when thinking of that is the so called 'Toon Paint'.You basically get a paint can with the certain character design and a brush and you just change up a character with said paint then around all the spots covered by the paint. You pretty much draw the changes into existence. =D

Welp, Caf also enjoy and knows to wearing costumes, i mean, even he did it a costume for Halloween being looks like Meowscles, so for both sides will be a fun thing for both having a cute costumes togheter!
Welp, that's one thing that i didn't know about it, but it looks fun, it have the same feeling as like, Latex TF, but it more like, cartoony and more fun from i see it, so it looks interesting from it!
