Desert runners!

Creatures that live in an inhabitable desert, filled with blood-red spiky plants that persistently grow through sandstone cracks. Their partly-hooved paws are sturdy enough to break through growing spikes, making them fast and deadly on their feet. Always on the move, looking for potential prey or scavenging someone else’s meals. Mostly rely on smell and hearing since their eyes are often covered with double eyelids against sandstorms. Often stay in a family group - 2 adults and up to 3 grown cubs, making the hunting a lot more efficient.
