Hello everyone, here I bring another story with a transformation theme, this time with Lindar as the protagonist.
This will be one of the last characters that I will make a story for, the truth is I plan to create a small series of stories that tell us more about the characters after their respective transformations. Although I don't know if I'll get to upload them.
I apologize for possible misspellings, I hope you enjoy the story.
Here I leave the previous ones in case you are interested in a specific character:

"No! You can't do that! My family has run this business for several generations." I still remember that disastrous news, I was in charge of a small company that was dedicated to making watches, gears and other things like that. For many it was not an ideal job, but for me it meant everything, that business had been in my family since my great-grandfather's time, and although we were not the richest family in the city, it gave us enough to live well. But no one bought handmade watches anymore, the big companies and corporations took the general public, in the end and against my will, my family's company had to be sold to one of those big companies, they gave me enough money to be able to live well without having to work for a long time, but that was insulting to me.
You may wonder why I'm telling you all this, well, you asked me how I ended up like this, so I have to tell you the background that led to us now having this one-sided conversation. After that I felt devastated, my family had been working in that business for 100 years, I continued with the family business with pleasure since I was good at it and I was able to live well, and I hoped that when the time came, when I had children that one of they continue with the business. But that wasn't going to happen anymore, for several reasons really, but the main one I've already told you and the other big reason is the one I'm telling you... so... what? I'm sorry, telling stories is not my thing... better focus.
I returned home after spending several hours drowning my sorrows in a bar, I still don't know how I got home in one piece... once there I slept for a few hours, I don't even know how long I slept, the fact is that I didn't want to wake up, my motivation to do anything had disappeared. Once I closed my eyes I hoped I would never have to open them again, but obviously it ended up happening. I woke up, it was the middle of the night, so I had been sleeping for several hours, in case you were wondering, I had taken off all my clothes except for the blue boxers and a white undershirt, within the walls of my house I saw no need to dress elegantly, directly did not see the need to wear clothes, one of the advantages of living alone. The hangover I had made me want to have a coffee or anything to clear my head, so I went to the kitchen to see what I had on hand, at that time I couldn't go shopping anywhere since everything would be closed.
While I was drinking my coffee I realized that now that I no longer had a job, I could spend more time on leisure, money of course I had and to spare. When I finished my coffee I went to my living room and checked what things I had available, I remembered that I had bought the PS4 a long time ago, I always liked video games since I was little, but since I finished my studies I never found time to play like I did before. It occurred to me that it would be a good way to pass the time and to forget about the fact that the family business had been lost and that I now had no job. I had the perfect game on hand for it, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, the first three purple dragon games in remake format. I played the originals back when they came out on PS1, so I saw it as an opportunity to relive memories of my childhood and part of my teenage years. So I connected the console, I put the disc (and after several tedious updates...) I finally got to play them.
I enjoyed it like a child, it was certainly fun to play, I got through the entire first game in one sitting, really rewarding. Rescuing all the dragons was a bit of a chore, but fun and satisfying, especially since I enjoyed each of the designs. I loved all of them, from Nestor to Bubba, from Asher to Magnus. However, there was one that especially captivated me, it was Lindar, a clock dragon and certainly the culprit of what happened to the dragons, if we look at it from a certain perspective. His steampunk design, with those horned glasses and accessories he wore, as well as his hobby of watches, certainly made me fall in love with him quickly. Although that also made me a little sad, it reminded me of the fact that Lindar could dedicate himself to his craft because it was very important and appreciated by the other dragons, while I lost mine and it was taken over by another business because handmade watches no longer sell as before. That made me wonder what would happen to me if I were in Lindar's situation, things would probably be better for me.
I didn't check how much time passed, it must have been hours, but it was still dark outside. I stopped playing as I was a little tired, completing the first game 100% left me exhausted, I was definitely very untrained, before I could last longer playing. The fact is that when I got to the kitchen I saw a kind of strange mist, it seemed strange to me, since I didn't have the oven on, I wondered what was happening. I took a good look at my kitchen, and found nothing unusual about it, just a strange pocket watch on the counter. I wondered what I was doing there, since that wasn't mine, at least I didn't remember having that watch. Examining it, I realized that its manufacture had been exquisite, the materials used and the way they were molded to bring this watch to life, press a button to see if it worked. That was when it all ended.
It began to emit a kind of bluish light on the front, the numbers and the hands had disappeared to give way to a strange blue light that enveloped me and then I began to feel a pang of pain inside me. I remember staggering until I hit the ground as the light enveloped me, gagging at the same time I noticed how the shoulder blades on my back began to crack and spread as if something was forming there. I fell to my knees on the floor, my hands touching the cold tiles of the kitchen floor, that's when I started to realize what was happening to me. Seeing my hands and arms I noticed that they were getting a bluish tone, at first I thought it was the shine, but no, it was my skin, or rather, scales? Yes, it was scales that had started to cover my arms.
I felt like my bones were bursting, it was a painful sensation, my bone structure was changing completely. I looked at my arms again, more specifically my hands, I felt how my fingers widened, also how two fingers of each hand came together until they became one, leaving me with four fingers per arm, which developed claws. The tingling of the shoulder blades continued, but this time it spread out, as if something was growing there, it didn't take long to find out what it was, as if it were a tug, two wings emerged on my back, destroying my undershirt. I began to grow in size, causing the shirt to rip everywhere, now the blue boxers were the only thing that separated me from the nakedness, but they didn't last that long either. Having grown bigger, and with the blue scales flooding all my skin, I noticed how another limb began to emerge on my rear, a thick tail rose from my rear, ripping the boxers and leaving me naked, although at that point the nudity It was the least important thing to me. I had just lost my human form, and this was only going to get worse.
I felt how my nose retracted and joined my lips, which were widening and moving away from my face, no, it was not that, it was not that the lips separated from my face, they had transformed into a kind of reptilian snout. I felt how my skull exploded to become something else, how my entire bone structure changed and adapted to my new condition. My hair stood on end, and had apparently taken on a yellowish-white hue, as some white hairs had fallen out of my head and I did not recall having gray hair. It was evident that I was no longer human, the evidence was there, my legs became shorter than before, but they were wider, I also noticed how now I only had four toes, just as now I had four fingers on my hands. I turned around and lay on my back, seeing how the front part of my body, pectorals, belly and even the crotch and inside of the tail, had acquired a kind of cream color accompanying the sky blue that was the rest of my body. The pain was gradually dissipating, I no longer felt as much pain as before, the bones had calmed down and the transformation had finally stopped.
I lay on the kitchen floor for a long time not knowing what to do or say, I didn't know what had happened and I didn't know if I wanted to know. The only thing I was sure of was that I had ceased to be human and had become some kind of dragon, as I now had a reptilian appearance with wings, scales and claws. Although I hadn't developed horns, well yes, a small one on the snout along with some weird whiskers, but not on the head, which was strange, both eastern and western dragons had horns, if I had become one, why didn't have horns? And why did I dream of having seen some dragon that did not have natural horns and was forced to use artificial ones?
Due to the shock of the moment it took me a while to connect the dots and discover what I had become, or rather, who. Realizing it, I jumped up and stood up in surprise. I remembered that there was a dragon that did not have horns per se and wore some hairpieces, at that moment I realized that it was exactly the same as him, with the difference that I did not wear the belt, nor the wristbands, fabric and decorations with watches, as well as glasses with extensions that appear to be horns, but otherwise it was exactly him. I went to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror, it was definitely true, I had become Lindar. That made me think, I wasn't angry or sad or anything like that, just a little confused, I had become a fictional character, that was, without a doubt, strange. I didn't know what to do at that moment, nor if I could return to my human form, it didn't matter too much either, that mist that I saw in the kitchen had returned and was covering the house. In turn, seeing the bathroom counter, I noticed that the clock from before was there, that same clock that had enveloped me in a blue light, I assumed that this was the cause of my transformation. I wondered what I was doing there if I had left it in the kitchen, I had it in my hand at the same time that the mist flooded the bathroom and enveloped me, suddenly I fell into a tremendous sleep, my legs were failing me, my eyelids were very heavy. Without even realizing it, I fell asleep.
I woke up in a kind of forest, I didn't know where I was, but I noticed that it was still night, the same night or the next night, I really didn't know. When I got up I noticed that I was no longer 100% naked, well, I had neither shirts nor pants nor underpants that covered my body, but I did notice that I was wearing a kind of belt, some wristbands and a necklace, adorned with watches and made of brown cloth. I also noticed that he had glasses on his forehead, these glasses had metal extensions that emulated horns on both sides of his head. I didn't know how, but I had just gotten the clothes that Lindar used, and the truth is, I was happy, I don't know why, I guess because it fit me well, I felt really comfortable like that and why not say it? He was certainly attractive, although joy soon turned into uncertainty when I realized that there was a kind of hooded man watching me and next to him a kind of portal. I didn't know when that man appeared or if he had been there before, but he started to say a few things to me and then disappeared.
I had many questions and few answers, it seemed I had been chosen to start a new life from scratch becoming what I most wanted to be, and to cross that portal to start my new life. Become what you most wanted? Lindar was what I most wanted to be? It is true that I like dragons and that I am a watchmaker, but... that was when I realized that this made sense, Lindar was someone who could practice his trade as a watchmaker with total freedom for the other dragons in society, he was not tied to companies or contracts or anything like that, it was just perfect. That left me with a certain happiness, it was my opportunity to start a new life, a life as a clockwork dragon, something that I was liking more with each passing second. I could go to a world where there would be creatures just as fantastic as me, I didn't have too much drama about staying either, the hooded man told me that the transformation was not reversible and that I would stay with that appearance forever, so staying in the human world was to sign a death sentence, because he would be persecuted and studied. It was definitely something I didn't want, not that I had much reason to trust that hooded man, but having reviewed the options, that was the logical answer, and what the hell? I love the idea of being a dragon and being able to do what I love.
Now that we've gotten intimate, it even makes me want to give you an offer on this beautiful hand-carved watch that runs on faerie energy, but just for being you, huh? Naturally, if we're having this conversation in the first place and you've walked into my workshop, you must have noticed that I walked through the portal and that's why I'm here. What if I'm sorry? Having abandoned my old self is something that from time to time gives me some anxiety, and I will not lie that I am nostalgic for certain things in the human world, but here I am happy and that is enough for me, I have made good friends, I have a good business, I have met the love of my life. Overall I can't complain, and I certainly wouldn't trade this life for the world. You know, if you need a good watch or engineering knowledge, here is Lindar, the master watchmaker ready to serve. Thank you for listening to my story and I hope you have a good day, bye.
