Seems like an interesting idea, I had something like that.
It was about two inventors in the 1950's working on a super weapons, four times more powerful than the nuclear bomb at the time.
Instead of a super weapon they had created a form of time machine that sent them back four hours earlier before the bomb went off and destroyed the entire west coasr as well as create tidal waves peaking to sky and toxic radiation killing everything inside the easter hemispheric. Now the figure out how to stop them selfs from repeating the process forever, or at least figure out where they could escape to.

Well, they did say it was a gamble. :)
They knew that since they could not identify their enemy they could no longer afford to try and find them, so since they seemed intent on gathering the time watches, the best way to ensure they found them was to wait for them at Clockwork, where they would be forced to come. :)
Though if they had elected to stay away, they would still have to deal with the Clockwork team as they would recall the first four cycles, unlike if they had taken their time watches at the end of cycle four, which would give them the opportunity to quietly remove Alonira, Liane, and Rowan from the project. :)

Well, with me it usually has to be just the right idea. I don't do stories where I'm not wholly on board with the idea. I have to see where it's going and so on. :) If I figure out what someone would do with the idea, maybe. Of course, there's a lot in the pipeline to be finished before. :)
Oh, you know I did! It was a fun story, and being in it made it even more so, of course. I love the concept of manipulating time and the effects it can have. I've been reading time travel stories of different types since I was in grade school. My Dad started me on Sci-Fi when I was 8 or 9. The masters. Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke. I still read it when I get time and see something interesting.
I like them to show the odd things that can occur because of it. Of course there are different theories as to how or even if paradoxes can happen. If you want a really fun little read try Heinlein's "By His Bootstraps". It's a short story of time travel loops that's kind of thought provoking. First published way back in 1941.
Wohoo, somehow I missed the fact that you finished it and just read it. It was wonderful, masterful storytelling once again love. I am so impressed. If you want to write a book I would so buy it, I would promote it to actual important people who are my acquaintances like John Ringo.
Well, I figured you were under the weather so no problem there. ;) I'm definitely working on putting together the second draft for the Iridescence story which hopefully will be good enough to give it a try. :)
I am also planning on possibly starting the prep work for the pokemon story. :)

I'm sorry it took me so long to get around to commenting on this... School's been awful... >.<
Anywho, I read this quite some time ago, so some of the details are blurry, but though the ending felt a little rushed, it was really good overall! And I like how you left it just open enough for possible sequels, without it losing its sense of conclusion. I've already come up with an idea on how the next arc will begin... =^.^=

Oh yeah, I totally understand. :)
I would say more that as I started to work on part three the ending was slightly weaker than I had initially thought, not so much rushed but just a bit more dependent on timing than I had wanted. Since day 1, 2, and 3 were all about the cliffhanger, it was tricky to figure out 4 and 5.
I'm curious what you're thinking, because I had an idea too, but not much of one.
