Original Species: Fern Bug
The Fern Bug is an interesting species of giant insect native to many woodland areas, particularly in the northern hemisphere. It has a symbiotic relationship with certain plants, in particular, the so-called "Fern Flower". The ferns and moss growing on the bug's back provide it with excellent camouflage and extra energy in the form of photosynthesis.
In return, the Fern Bug provides the plants with mobility, following the sun in such a way that the lighting conditions are most optimal for its green companions. Additionally, during long periods without rain, the bug seeks out (sometimes even digs out) sources of freshwater.
