TEEHEE! It's called "light painting." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_painting It's essentially being in a dark room/place (I recommend having a black backdrop) and having the shutter speed set low. (I have my ISO set to 200 and aperture at F22, giving me 30 seconds of the shutter being open.) Then to take a flash light or pen light or glow sticks even, point it at the camera, and draw! You can also light up your model, if you have one (I lit up her mouth) and have fun. :) My model didn't sit still for this photo, so there's blur, but that's okay! It worked out wonderfully.
