Ref Sheet for
t0ra
I learned that I really need to make a weekly schedule for myself, AROUND my fucked up work schedule. This ref sheet took a bazillion times longer than it should, and I felt really bad about it.
Lesson learned: schedule myself and prioritize my time.
CHARACTER BELONGS TO ITS RESPECTED OWNER. DO NO STEAL.

I can't find a good picture of his suit to tell! D:
LoL, it's REALLY hard to make an African Wild Dog look unique while making sure it still looks like an African Wild Dog. Another challenge was simplifying the markings- and still making it look like an AWD- so that the poor fursuit maker wouldn't want to kill herself handsewing all those markings in!

The ears and color scheme are the giveaway. That and the big paws.
A good way to find good references for them is to search on Google images.
This is the first one I found: http://thumbs2.modthesims.info/img/.....ldDogPhoto.jpg

Okay. But how did you come up with wolf-looking ears? I'm just curious. I make fursuits, and to capture the look of an African Wild Dog I'd definitely have really big round ears.
Bear in mind, I'm not trying to offend, just trying to offer some helpful suggestions from my own experience and perspective. They are really beautiful animals. Honestly, I couldn't make a fursuit of one because I still can't sew by hand, despite how much I wish I could. They're simply beautiful animals, and are quite easy to recognize. And therein lies my suggestion...this would look really awesome with huge, round ears. If you like, I could try my hand at photoshopping some on it.
I seriously need to find an assistant to help me with fursuits.
But first I need to find a way to be able to live AND make fursuits...*sighs*

I just did the reference sheet for him. I'm not making the fursuit.
When it comes to a person's own character, they really can't be overly wrong about something. I mean, snow leopards don't have symmetrical spots, blue fur, or purple hair either. Let alone walk and talk! ;P

My only crit is the ears :( Everyone draws them pointy and they are actually like rounded cups.
