I'll expand this image as I work. I figured someone out there may be able to learn from my process. It's probably convoluted and retarded, but it gets me there eventually. :P
EDIT: image isn't reloading for me, hopefully it will re-cache later
1) sketch (done in photoshop, standard brush on pressure>size, 100% opacity)
2) color blocking (done in the same brush, I just pick a random color so I can see it. Oddly, I usually use purple)
3) Background (I switch brushes here, usually using a hard-edge brush with pressure>opacity, I find it blends nicely.
4) Painting (Pretty self explanatory, lol)
5) Edges (I go back and re-color the edges with the lock on)
And there you have it. Hopefully the re-cache will catch up soon.
