OLD SHIT - Watership Down 2020 9/10
I was looking through my old work again, this time from 2020, and I felt the need to share the visual development art I'd made based off of Watership Down during that year. I've long since shared the final renders of the characters I designed during that time, but I haven't shown the other small heap of stuff I'd completed. So? Here it be.
I'll never forgive the WSD mini-series for cutting Pipkin. He's such a cetrifical part of several character's developments and characterization, I don't even know how they justified that decision to themselves. So here I was trying to make up for that disappointment by making him disgustingly cute. He's about Fiver's size and age, so he's not a kitten like in the 90s series, but his childishness is only skin deep. I'd love to see him with a mellow, kinda gravely voice, one that juxtaposes juuust right with his babyface.
