OLD SHIT - Watership Down 2020 5/10
I was looking through my old work again, this time from 2020, and I felt the need to share the visual development art I'd made based off of Watership Down during that year. I've long since shared the final renders of the characters I designed during that time, but I haven't shown the other small heap of stuff I'd completed. So? Here it be.
Bigwig/Fur-Head/Thlayli here is a fan favorite, and for good reason. I'm not entirely sure if I did the big guy justice, but I will forever stand by my decision to give him the ear-tufts that lionhead rabbits often have. I didn't want to give him a full-on lion's mane because I'm not designing the characters for a 90s children's show (js js), but I do wish I'd made his namesake mop larger.
