I work at a college music lab, and people are always trumpeting the grandness of FL Studio over Reason, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money or not. What are your thoughts on the software?

Well.. there's not much i can say about Reason, last time i used it was when i played guitars/basses/vocals and a friend of mine was doing all the compy stuff, but about FL Studio; it's quite simple imo, and seems to work pretty well even with some older tech but still i'd do "real" instrument recordings with Reason and stay in the electronic territory with FL Studio
