Another Riff, partly for my daughter and partly because the character's grown on me. Valentine and I watch snippets of Barney every now and then because she adores it, and it's pretty horrible but there are two things that make it tolerable for me. One, whoever wears BJ the Yellow Dino's costume is fucking hilarious whenever they all start to dance, because he really REALLY gets into it. Like, camptastically so. Two, Riff. Here's why:

A typical Baby Bop centered episode = "Somebody told me 'no' so I'm going to have a giant shitfit."

Typical BJ centered episode = "Wow this other person made a fabulous painting. I'll pretend I was the one who painted it so I can look cool."

Typical Riff centered episode = "I accidentally broke my friend's expensive scooter. I will have a garage sale and sell my old toys so I can raise money to buy him a new one."

Maybe when he grows up, he will destroy Barney. One can hope.
