what is the red moon?

The red moon is a phase of the moon where it turns red.

what effects does it have?

Rafael loses consciousness when he has contact with the red moonlight or when he looks at it, his appearance changes having a painless transformation.

Transformation

Raphael's appearance changes, his head fur grows, his muscles and height increase, his eyes change to completely black with red pupils.

Characteristics

in normal size: raphael's strength and agility are doubled, also his hunger for blood increases considerably.
as i said before, he loses consciousness so he is only guided by his most basic instincts, to feed and survive.
rafael's intelligence is reduced a little, he can't speak so he can only emit grunts and roars...
He will attack anyone who crosses his path, friend or foe.
in macro size: raf's aspect does not change, only his size, but being bigger the danger also grows because for some reason he will start to crush on those who are close to him, all and without exception, but this size will only reach when he is not hungry anymore...

how to escape?

First of all, if it is a macro size, you could enter a basement or a tunnel, where it will not be able to get away.
if it's in the normal size you can use garlic, crucifix, or holy water, it will affect Raf all and keep him away but it won't stop him.
