I love her glowing eyes! <3 Though with Korin, when his eyes glow they're a solid bluish color. They'll 'light up' on occasion and still show his pupils, usually accompanied by little arcs of electricity dancing over them, but when they're 'ahm chargin mah lazzors' glowing, they're a solid color. And no he doesn't always shoot lasers out of his eyes when they glow like that, that was just the best way I could think of to describe the look. x3
Come to think of it, he doesn't shoot lasers out of his eyes period. I always thought that was a little too generic for glowing eyes for my tastes. Most characters that I see in cartoons and stuff that do the 'glowy eyes' bit, always shoot lasers (or some equivalent, like ice beams or some such) out of their eyes, so I wanted him to just have that look as a means of telling people how much power he's generating. It adds to the mystique of it all. Consider it 'flavor text' if you will. |3
Anyway, I'm rambling on about my own character, when I should be complimenting you on yours. Sorry about that. ^^' What's her powers based around? Korin does the whole energy absorption/generation/control bit, and that's what gives him his other abilities (flight, weapon generation, energy shielding, etc), so what's Storm's central theme?

Trenadi, and Magi are the only two aces in the graphic novel /novel/comic that have "Inner fire" - also i will add the only races in my universe who have wings. Magi being the ones that can actually fly.
Magi - The stronger of the two races, but at a price, they no longer have a home world, and are very few in number, like 100 still remain. There inner fire gives them- energy beams, shields, flight, and unassisted space travel / slip.
Trenadi - The weaker of the two magic caring races, There are two classes of Trenadi, savage and blessed. The blessed once made up the hierarchy social structure. Inner fire makes them go insanity and can be lethal if they become to powerful. So the blessed made a mandatory breeding program, balancing the power with in there race, so the weaker ones were bread with the more powerful ones to attempt to maintain sanity and balance. Though they have the same abilities as there savage brothers and sisters it is a weaker version. There wings though flightless are used as status symbols among this society, because of the invisibility they can also choose to hide them at will. They are xenophobic in there relations with other worlds, only a handful dedicate there lives to ambassador endeavors, and outsiders are rarely ever welcome on there world.
The ones who rebelled were banished out and labeled as savage, with an opportunity to return if they were to conform. These Trenadi are out in space, and make great mercenaries. being able to make there ships invisible with there abilities. There are not a lot of them because those who become to powerful live very short lives before self immolation. There inner fire gives them the abilities, of invisibility and fire balls.
---
Storm - She is a half Skyia fox and Trenadi, Though the comic may not touch on this the graphic novel / novel will. The main antagonists in the novel/graphic novel enslaved the Skyia people. Thies black and white foxes with fennec ears were a non space faring race that had no chance when they were invaded.
At some point these antagonists also came upon a Savage Trenadi ship, and captured it. Now they had had a real weapon, inner fire. They breed hundreds of mixed Skyia and Trenadi in an effort to keep the controllable nature of the Skyia, but having the strength of the Trenadi. Storm was Block M subject 99, for the first few chapters and mentioned in to the comic already once already she was called M99.
She has the Trenadi abilities, fire balls and invisibility. Most likely you will not see her wings often in the comic, also the dark back story and the reflection on her personality is also lessened. In the navel/graphic novel however you will see a darker version of Storm from time to time.

~chuckles~ I'd say you've definitely thought this out. x3 I suppose it's my turn, now. ;3
Korin is a Myrosian, a race from the planet Myros orbiting the star Myr with it's sister planet Tallos. Myros (pronounced 'meer-ohss') is a very dark world, blanketed by endless forest and spotted with caves which lead to a labyrinthine maze of underground crystal caverns and twisting rivers. Storms are a near constant condition above the canopy of trees, but thankfully the leaves and branches are so interwoven that very little of the sporadic rainfall ever makes it past them. Having nothing to stop them, the winds from those storms race unchecked through the atmosphere. Updrafts, downdrafts, crosswinds, cyclonic winds, and 'dead zones' make atmospheric flight impossible for ships, so the Myrosians built a launching facility on their one and only mountain, the only thing on the planet tall enough to reach past the several-hundred foot tall trees that would otherwise dominate this world.
Myros itself has six separate Ecosystems, "Upper Atmospheric, Atmospheric, Upper Arboreal, Arboreal, Groundside, and The Down-Below", each with its own set of dangers and pleasures.
Korin Veyla is from the ruling class of the planet, the older of two brothers, but decided early in his childhood that he wanted nothing of that life, having been forced into learning the proper court etiquette from birth and wanting out of it. So when he got older Korin took his personal ship, the 'Veyla's Vengeance', and set out on his own as a bounty hunter; though he still keeps in touch with his family through his brother, who now holds his seat on the Council of Twelve as a representative of the family; their father having retired from the position.
Korin still lives on Myros, though, choosing instead to live in the mountain's Kyrtek Crystal caverns.
Myrosians, as a species, are gifted with natural abilities because of ambient energy from the veins of Kyrtek crystals that snake through the planet. Because of the dense clouds that are a constant in the skies of Myros, and the thickly interwoven trees, very little light makes it into the Upper Arboreal ecosystem, turning it into a world of perpetual twilight and turning anything below that into pure darkness. Life in the Upper Arboreal realm has made the Myrosian eyesight perfect for low light vision, and being able to produce their own 'halo' of light enables them to even see in the perfect darkness of the Arboreal level and lower.
They are also capable of hovering through the trees, though they cannot truly fly, and because of that there are no bridges or roads to connect the various houses and meeting places of the Myrosian people, making it impossible for any 'Outworlders' to invade their home; though some have tried, only to find themselves as either prisoners...or fodder for the creatures that roam amongst the trees.
Myrosians are separated into tribes, called Elementalists, based on the element they've been 'kissed' by at birth. The ruling tribe, and the one with the most seats in the council, are the Energy Elementalists, the ones that can feel and redirect the ambient energy itself, harnessing its power to create anything from personal shields to small projectiles they fire from their hands.
Fire Elementalists have mastered the art of the flame, and use it in everything they do. From ordinary household chores, to the erotic Dance of the Flames, their use of fire is unmatched, and are equaled in raw power only by the Energy Elementalists.
Wind Elementalists are both one of the weaker tribes, and one of the strongest. They're weak while living amongst the branches, the trees- the trunks of some of which are thick enough to take up to an hour to circumvent- make devastatingly good wind breakers, and so their wind powers are not that effective in the Upper Arboreal area. Once out in the open air, however, all of that changes. Able to control the air currents directly, they can even 'fly' short distances, and are the only tribe that can do so.
Water Elementalists are the weakest of the tribes, and rely on weapons instead of inborn power to fight, since, like the Wind Elementalists, their power is only truly at its peak in the Atmospheric level; and even then only when it rains. Instead, they are the established merchants and traders of Myros. Once each season they host a Bazaar, and take that opportunity to trade with the other tribes, selling their crafts and water sculptures, and buying herbs and other items that they cannot obtain otherwise.
Earth Elementalists are the only tribe to venture Groundside and out of the trees, and they never leave the ground except to attend the Bazaar, choosing to stick close to where their power is greatest. The ruling class would actually be better off living Groundside, as the energy is strongest there, but they prefer the relatively open area of the Upper Arboreal level, so it's the Earth Elementalists that rule the ground. Fights between the ruling class of Energy Elementalists and the Earth Elementalists (or 'Grounders' as they're called) are a common occurrence, but never become anything too serious, and are quickly mediated.
Korin, having lived for several years amidst the Kyrtek crystals, has found himself altered and enhanced by the exposure to the pure energy they produce. An Energy Elementalist by birth, his powers have become enhanced to the point where he no longer has a real place among his people. Feared for his powers, he is no longer welcome in the trees of his home, and so makes his life in the crystal caverns of the mountain. Capable of absorbing, producing, and controlling near-limitless amounts of energy has given Korin the ability to control his body's own bio-energy field, giving him greatly accelerated healing and making him almost immortal.
He also has true flight, and is the only Myrosian with that ability.
The Kyrtek crystals have only recently begun to be mined within the last hundred years, as they are a natural source of energy, and are used to power the ships of the few Myrosians that have chosen to leave the planet.
The last few years have seen diplomats from other races visiting Myros, seeking to establish trade and to try and coax them into one alliance or another. They may not have succeeded with an alliance, but their trading has taken a firm foothold at the seasonal Bazaar, and 'Outworlder' items are becoming popular among the younger Myrosians.
Having established himself as a professional bounty hunter, Korin has recently begun an on again/off again romance with an assassin that was once one of his bounties; herself having once targeted him for assassination as well.
