Heyoo. This is an assignment for my Advanced CMPA class. It's being turned in in just 30 minutes, so no, your help does not get me a grade, nor improve it. I just want people who are experienced in Flash to help me out a bit. Uses Actionscript 3.0 and is Flash CS4. I want to improve this on my own time, maybe even turn it into a little game. I also want responses from those who have no experience with Flash, or limited knowledge, to just point out anything funky from just a visual standpoint.
The assignment was to create a character with a rest and walk cycle, and to use buttons to create an interactive GUI.
Thanks in advance!

i took a couple flash classes i'd need a refresher to help you with coding but from a visual point of view i can help a bit
the one big thing that i think would help you a lot is to slow the background frames down (if you have it on a different time-line hoping you do o.o) right now its just a little too fast which gives the look of the robo pet almost sliding as he walks. Really it just shows there is a distinct separation between the animal animation and the background.
over all its really good for an animation love the tail wag its very fluid
the other thing if you want to get it more fluid looking animation is to work how much and where you move the pieces personally i do frame by frame drawn then i edit the parts needed (as in erase and redraw) but i'm old school with animation i like hand drawn as much as computer stuff =P
i'd say all in all great work keep it up best way to learn is to keep playing with flash and reading tutorials see what works best for you.
