maybe but as shown in this vid and a series of other starfox related vids there show that the crew are not good fighter pilots. and this is compared to real life fighter pilots to i may say.

otherwise fox, and crew along with wolf and his lot can pull off the aileron rolls if they don't get blown up by incoming missle fire or other things that is. :P and planes of the world war era can't pull off various things that is shown in the games with out the planes getting destroyed or the pilots getting knocked out by blackouts etc.

ah so it's not that they did amputations so it's just good boots they are using alrighty then so they have all of there limbs. fair enough the more you know.

I theorize when they were making the puppets, they decided not to bother making boots as the skeletal lower legs already looked like futuristic boots
