The fading echo of Pith’s spleen flipping voice trailed off through the empty church, giving way to a brief silence. The candles lining the room grew brighter, their amber light now more fierce, bringing a tense flickering illumination to the wide open room. Row after row of pew now bucked, kicked and clanked against the floor, only to be outdone by the shrill bursts of laughter that bellowed from Pith’s gaping mouth of fangs… That strangely grew in a slow gradual pace.
“I’m afraid to tell the both of you, tonight won’t be your night. It’ll be mine. So say no prayers and don’t bother begging. I’m going to twist, tear and pluck every thought out of both your heads.” those words both insanely laid back and holding a unsettling eerie seriousness. But it wasn’t a threat that would fall on deaf ears, as Blaze’s fists crackled, birthing flames betwixt his clenched knuckles before he merely erupted, screaming before firing the first fiery blast. Green knew her own choice of attack was limited, but with Blaze’s swift first shot, she too was ready to leap head first into this madness, left gloved fist blazing.

I really like how the layout of the first two pictures really brings out that sort of team up and fight feel, as you see Blaze & Greenie side by side ready to take on their enemy, Pith. Was a little worried at first about how the Sonic character style of art might go, already having seen Green drawn that way I had no worries. Though, was curious how a character like Pith might, and safe to say the sort of cartoon look actually seems fitting to the kind of whacky eerie poltergeist he is.
Figured might be a good spot to give some idea of what skills and such are at work in this fight so you get a bit more understanding of what each of these three has at their disposal. Starting with Blaze, should be obvious he’s got a range of fire-wielding abilities and is rather disciplined in his control of it. Green, although mainly a boxer, does possess some chi manipulation skills, which in this case her signature punch, the ~Green Dragon Fist~ is by far her best means to disrupt and break the poltergeists ethereal form. And then Pith, does possess telekinesis, but his most powerful of traits is mind-bending, he can do a multitude of horrible things to someone’s mind if he gets hold, thankfully for his victims, his insane mentality and playfulness usually tends to cripple his focus, being one of his best-known flaws... Well, that and your typical instruments of exorcism against ghosts.

I just know this entire picture series is probably going to have that tune 'hmm'ing through most everyone's heads.
Even just looking at this picture, you could almost imagine Blaze & Green strapped up to some proton packs blasting at Pith like that slimer scene from the first movie.
