Despite being a nomad, Valkyrie, like most Frost Dragons, likes to stay in colder regions! Specially areas prone to LOTS of snowfall!
This is due to an environmental effect Valkyrie has on the area! When Valkyrie is around her presence causes the area to be littered with unexpected snowfall!
This trait is usually reserved for older or very powerful Frost Dragons!
Valkyrie wouldn't mind the snow, if there wasn't one small catch to the odd weather...her snow is charged with electricity!!!
Valkyrie has a unique element paring within her biology!
Her mother is an Electric Dragon, but her father is a Frost Dragon. The Frost magic is the more dominant of the two elements!
But the electricity from her mother's side DOES shine through from time to time, with the aforementioned "electric" snow!
Individually of course the frozen sparks are harmless but constant "falling static" can be a nuisance...not to mention the added shock once the snowflakes melt after contact (or worse a small blankets thaws)!
This is probably the reason Valkyrie leads a nomadic lifestyle! Isolation in order to keep those around her safe from her recessive element traits!
In her attempts to master her element paring, Valkyrie has discovered how to charge ice, either around her or shards she can make naturally, making for an always ready arsenal at her claw-tips!
Or nearby traps ready to shock anyone who gets too close to the reclusive dragon.
Valkyrie does the best she can with what she has. And even though older dragons have offered to help her master her elements...she's reluctant to accept a claw due to fear of harming them with her "Thundersnow" as she has dubbed it!
However rumours of an Earth Dragon with similar lightning based problems as Valkyrie has her leaving her comfort zone of the cold and seeking warmer ventures!
