Although my mood is severely anti-Disney right about now, I can't deny the pleasure I've had revisiting the Gargoyles series over the past couple of months.
Maybe the brooding tone speaks to me right about now. Or maybe the idea of literally sleeping like a stone for 1000 years feels pretty appealing nowadays.

Just when I thought I couldn't enjoy your character enough. I really, really like this form, this picture.
I'm torn about Disney always. Yet the resolve of the heirs of Disney has shown me that the company itself is not entirely representative of the ideals and virtues of those who remain to carry the legacy of that which gave us such remarkable stories. We owe a great deal of our childhoods to Disney, but it's important to remember that it was thanks to several queer creators that Disney is what it is today. Just look at the works of Howard Ashman: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euXi03tGoDE
I don't think that all of Disney is the corrupt, evil empire it certainly makes itself out to be. It's the misguided and thoughtless in power and wealth within the company's leadership that drags it through the bed of thorns that prick and tear at us, who have been so moved and so inspired by the works of all those they've brought in to make their magic. But little do they realize how much they owe us, the queers who helped them become who they are. I see it within the future yet that they will see the error of their ways and take steps, however large or small, to try and undo the damage they've done. It may not happen now, it may not happen in a year. But we certainly will see it done.

That movie definitely didn't help. But I was madder about them playing both sides on 'Don't Say Gay' before Chapek was called out over it.
'Anti-Disney' is kind of a funny time - I'm still a fan of the movies, and then Walt's actual descendents are awesome. It seems kind of unfair to just link the name to the company.
