Damn, I remember the original Slayers from...a thousand years ago? 😅 Naga the Serpent seemed to never gain the same popularity as the other characters, which is surprising considering her...qualities.

This is a great drawing and I always smile to see the "retro" anime being remembered today. 😊

Here's something that'll probably bake your noodle. Naga the Serpent was supposed to be Amelia's big sister. She was supposed to be of the house Seiruun

The resemblance is certainly there. It seems Slayers is only available online via Hulu's streaming service, which I think is the only one I haven't subscribed to. 😅

Unfortunately it was never stated in any of the anime releases, only in the manga and light novels

I think it became a gag in the anime that Naga and Amelia would never be seen together. The closest times came when Amelia saw a woman walk past that looked like Naga and she reacted to her with confusion. Also in a later season with the living suit of armor called Nama, who its implied to be Naga but with amnesia. I think Lina says that Nama's laugh reminds her of some one, and later on Nama and Amelia are talking about their families and it sort of easy to tell they are talking about the same people

We are less likely to see Amelia and Naga together in the anime than we are to see Lina's sister Luna LOL
