Heck, in addition to the Pokemon inside the dungeon being toys, maybe even the items would be toys themselves, hehe~. x3

I'm trying to figure out if this is too ridiculous to actually fit in the PMD universe. Instinctively I wanna say it is, but at the same time... there's some funky stuff in PMD already. If turning into a bottle of elixir is a thing, if a dungeon that has the magical property of resetting you to level 0 is a thing, if a trap that turns inanimate objects into living breathing Pokémon is a thing, if an orb that devolves Pokémon was meant to be a thing, if magical wands are a thing, humans turning into Pokémon is a thing, why not this? What is the cut-off? I guess pooltoys or an inflatable dungeon might be a bit too much of a specialty to make the cut, but a trap that turns you into a Decoy? Not impossible. Which would easily open the doors to snowballing into entering a toy themed dungeon. Other games and monster IPs have done it. Which opens the doors to this.

In other news, who the heck would accept a B54F escort mission!? That is the part that really challenges suspension of disbelief! D=

I'm not familiar enough with PMD to understand the "B54F" thing.

Basement 54th Floor. PMD levels are randomly generated mazes. The end goal of each maze advances the floor by 1. Sometimes the floors go up like 5F sometimes the floors go down like B5F. To have an end goal of B54F means you have to escort a very squishy NPC that doesn't like to listen to you and enemies make a beeline for, through 53 random mazes. A trial for only the most insane of masochists!

Maybe they took a look at the dungeon name and assumed it would be long but easy :P

Or maybe Hexbreon told them it would be long but easy! After all, it takes until the 2nd floor to bring up that these squeak traps exist in the first place! If I was a client and I needed an escort through an area I would tell the team what kind of unique dangers they could expect to run into before we even left! I smell conspiracy!

And true-- that's the real unbelievable thing-- unless these guys were wide-eyed rookies~

Or in Dusky's case, a "pro" in a sense that he literal used alot of gummies and golden seeds to boost his level and stats to the max.

Part of me wants those traps to be hidden better, and yet a giant transforming inflation valve looks so tempting to step on...

Also, are the pooltoys slowly deflating, or is it just the result of the transformation?

No no I think they are hidden but once you step on them the giant valve pops up underneath your foot and the patch around discolors to grey. And I think the puffs of air are
A) representing the puffs of smoke traps activate in game
B) representing the valves sort of popping out into existence on the newly inflatable Pokémon.

It's mostly that, yup yup, and also the idea that they're suddenly nearly overfilled with air~

I'd step on that in a heartbeat, regardless of what my teammates say! >:3

And naw, the trap just filled em to capacity so they're just blowing off a little excess air.

Since I'm a sucker for lore, here are my 2 takes on this:
Hexa Toys, keeping that name in mind. ;)
..and damn, just the dungeon intelf seems like a fun place to be! I'll probably travel the world till I find the right PMD area with the dungeons you've been showing off. :3

And yuss! A dungeon that's just a giant bounce house! (Maybe it used to be a bounce house factory that got turned into a mystery dungeon...) There's so many more fun places to visit~

It might become permanent if you step on enough of em, or end up lasting long enough that it's practically permanent~

at least you don't have to constantly eat on every floor but the downside of that status condition is you have a very low defense that one hit will be enough to kill you.

Luckily all the enemies are pooltoys now, too-- so you're on equal (squeaky) footing~

Of course, the next levels are liberally rigged with spike traps! =P

And so Dusky proceeds to take an extremely long time to complete the dungeon as he actually likes his new form.

And then there are pokemon i would think do this on purpose and make certain the valve spawns on certain locations(you take a guess. And i know there are some minds that know what I'm getting at, keep your mind out of the gutter)
