Or, perhaps more accurately, dines ON a lion. Oh well, same difference. The lion can protest once he's done with his trip down the throat. But worry not: Dima is still yet hungry. He'll be on the lookout for some dessert. Perhaps next up is a tiger; there's only room for one orange-fur species in his eyes.

A fox gulping down a lion? Dima must be an exceptional fox pred! And if that's the case, I assume there's no hope for that lion.
As a hyena, I consider myself more pred. But if Dima is swallowing the king of the jungle, I'd be afraid myself of not being able to fend that fox off!

Oh yes, Dima is quite the pred! That lion can curse Dima up and down, and later plead for forgiveness. But to Dima, he's just a delicious snack.
He certainly is a crafty fox; when he wants something, it's a good bet he'll get it one way or another. But most of the time, he wants to prove something. Maybe someone is bothering him, or he's just in a bad mood. But he doesn't gulp down everyone he passes in the street. So as long as you don't stick out too much, and especially don't get on his bad side, you'll probably be ok. Probably.

That lion's pleading won't save him. If anything, it probably makes it more enjoyable for Dima! Especially since he's taking everything from that lion.
I guess I'll have to watch out for that fox then! I don't think Dima would appreciate another top pred hanging around. And if I've gathered correctly, Dima seems to really like gulping down other preds, especially without much mercy. I wouldn't want to end up like that lion.

Oh yeah, Dima loves it! Whatever the lion was, or thought he'd be, is no more. All that remains is the superior pred.
He'll certainly have other animals for meals too, not just preds. Though he knows that predators are more incredulous over the idea of being demoted to prey, so it's more fun. Some prey species struggle to avoid being lunch, while others accept it. But some supposed "preds" think they run the world. Pride comes before the fall, as they say.

True! Arrogant preds tend to be their own destruction. That destruction being their digestion by a superior pred. And of course, gulped preds tend to struggle fiercely, unable to come to terms that they'd ever become prey. I think if I was gulped down by Dima, I too would be in disbelief of being eaten by a small fox. I too would squirm franticly and angrily, unaware that I am only heightening Dima's pleasure. And just like the lion, once his belly started working me down, I too would beg and pull at the fox's heartstrings, but to no avail.
And of course, for such a clever apex fox, there will be no shortage of meals, willing or otherwise. He should probably keep tallies!

Yeah, that's how it goes with most of his meals. He likes to track his prey's progress using his own special form of the Five Stages of Grief, but the "acceptance" is his body acceptance of his meal's "sacrifice".
And tallies are a great idea, I think he'll definitely start doing that!

Definitely he's a fan of the area between anger and bargaining. Something about the shift from furious outrage into appeals for mercy, the admission that he is the superior pred, is so fun!
And a dang good thing they don't often get to accepting their fate. Would be rather anticlimactic for them to give up on the squirming and pleading.

Oh that's Dima's favorite part! A fiesty meal that doesn't want to accept it belongs in his gut. He'll be more than happy to take his royal title; after all, you are what you eat!
And Dima loves nothing more than showing dominance. That lion will be thoroughly teased before he gets put in his rightful place of fox hips~

Well if that lion were such an "apex", he wouldn't be sliding down into a fox's gut. Dima doesn't much believe in silly things like "the food chain". It's more of a menu to him, something to decide what the daily special should be. But hey, if you want to take the same trip as the lion, feel free! Dima loves "hosting" guests~
