Commentary for April 19, 2022:

So while doing these pages, I figured out a way to insert 3D models into scenes with these sprites at more-or-less the exact right scale. This does have the unfortunate effect of making the scale wrong in previous chapters where we saw the characters doing stuff around landed shuttlecraft, for instance, but that’s no reason to not get it right now. In any case, the GUN shuttle in panel 3 is the same type of shuttle featured in Chapter 31 as well as Chapter 10 of Eon’s World Vol. 2. I did a little extra work on it, however, to make the door and loading ramp wider.

And talking of 3D models, I decided to re-do GUN High Command as one for external shots like in panel 4. I basically took the idea represented by the sprite I made for season 2 and just re-made it as a 3D model. It took a little doing, despite how simple it may appear, but I think it turned out all right. And talking of High Command, here we finally get to see GUN’s joint chiefs of staff in panels 5 and 6. We’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of them in the future.
