Felvids, a race of deer-cat hybrids created from moonlight by the Fae goddess Titania. Felvids are very closely attuned to the moon and its phases, like becoming aggressive during a blood moon or flirty during a blue moon, they've been around for centuries. Although they are a nomadic and race staying in groups of about 20-30 and they are always on the move, never staying in one place for more than one month. Felvids are a neutral race, not following the Seelie nor the Un-Seelie courts in either of their rulings.

There are lots of different groups of Deer-Cats, the Catagami Clan is an honorable race of hunters, scavengers, and researchers. Katherine Catagami is the current leader, married to her husband Kyte, with her wonderful son Alex. Even as the Deer-Cats go about their lives, the Feywilds never sleep, the Seelie and Unseelie courts have a never ending rivalry that knows no bounds.

The Unseelie court had sent out a small squad of Displacer Beasts to invade the Seelie Court, unfortunately for the Catagami Clan, they had unknowingly took up residence in their warpath.
Even with their vine walls and fighters, they would teleport right in and started slaughtering all of the villagers. As soon as fighting was heart Katherine went out to defend her people, while Kyte fled the village with Alex. Unfortunately for them, one would chase them.

Kyte and Alex fled the village, but with the beasts teleportation it easily caught up with them. With no other option Kyte would fend off the beast with his great axe while telling Alex to run and hide. He would fight the beast with strength and splendor, swinging with every fiber of his being to protect his son, but not without taking blows himself. He would end up victorious, but his wounds were too deep and he was bleeding out fast.

Alex rushed to his side, with his dying breath he would say "You have more potential than you realize my child, you are our future. The bow you wield is apart of you, you will learn how to master it and become so strong that anyone will stand by you. Make friends, have a family, be the best person you can be, and you can truly be happy. I love you, my little warrior. Fly free.." He would pass in front of him, but before he did he gave Alex a rainbow moonstone. All alone, Alex would press on through the Feywilds. Carrying his words with him.

Alex would come across a druid woman a few days later, this woman was Ivy Larkspur. She had been banished to the Feywilds because of false accusations against her from a nobel, declaring witchcraft against her potions. But for Ivy being in the Feywilds was a learning experience, she got to study so many exclusive flora and fauna, of course living in the Feywild is no easy feat so she had been researching a way to get back to the material plane.

Alex decided to stay by Ivy, since they were both looking for a way out of the Feywild. They would work together, and they built a small cottage together, surviving for a few months assumedly. But Ivy had discovered a potion that might be able to get them home, but they needed a source of powerful energy. Alex remembered the stone his father gave him, it was the perfect conduit, within a few days the potion would be ready.

With the power of her Omni-Moonstone and a sip from the potion, they both would be warped through dimensions, ending up back in the Material plane as calculated. Being in the Feywild, Ivy had actually been gone for 70 years so no one even remembered she was banished. She went to her old abandoned home to grab her things and they would leave together, moving over into Hamaline.

In the Feywild Katherine would spend a year looking for Alex but came up with nothing. During the attack Katherine had barely survived, along with a few others. An albino deercat named Gracie took care of Katherine's wounds, and being there when she was mourning over her husband and daughter, after some time they would fall in love and get married. But without Alex she felt empty, she wanted another child, one with Gracie.

Both being female and unable to concieve with eachother, Katherine prayed to the gods to give her a child, and who to respond but the queen of the succubi herself Evangelina. She would give Katherine a child, at a price. She would take Katherine's firtility in exchange for a child, but she would never be able to have one again. Accepting the queens terms she would bless Katherine with a pregnancy, eventually being Korra. Little did she know the queen used half of Katherines fertility to creat her own child, who would be Zaehlia, a mix of Fae and Fiend magic.

During this time Alex and Ivy were living together very well, but the thought of his village and people always came back to him in his dreams, and how he wasn't able to protect them. He became depressed for a few years going through a school Ivy put him through, but being a Fey creature he wasn't often liked because of who he was. Alex was weak and timid, emotionally fragile and broken and unable to move on, he needed to change.

After he had finished his years of school and he was around 20 he started getting these thoughts in his dreams, about wanting to be stronger, someone people could depend on, someone brave to protect those he loves since he couldn't back then. He hated how he was, how he looked, how he sounded, the guilt just kept weighing him down and he wanted to change so bad. In one of his dreams on his 20th birthday he had a dream, a dream where he faced a mirror.

He saw beautiful female deercat, long hair, voluptuous curves, a strong outfit and a combat stance that was powerful, she looked brave. She spoke to him with a silky voice, telling him that things for him are hard, and those feelings of back then will always be with him. But if he puts in the work he can become someone he can be proud of, and be the brave person who he wants to be.

The next couple of days that dream would be on his mind, that beautiful deercat he saw in the mirror, maybe that was his subconscious telling him what he needed to do to become stronger. He would talk to Ivy about this dream he had, and she agreed that it was probably a message. He would say he wanted to be that woman, not liking who he was wanting to be brave like her, he wanted to change.

Being a loving mother to Alex she understood his feelings, and told him that she could help. She would create a potion for him, something she said would change his life forever, a potion that would change his gender. To him it sounded so bizzare, but it also sounded right, being a beautiful woman like that deercat in his dreams sounded like the perfect change he needed. He always had been timid, fragile, affraid of his past, but no more. Taking this potion he would drink it and wait until the next day for it to take effect.

The next morning he would wake up feeling really weird, he'd get up and look down at himself, seeing that something was differen't. Softer silkier fur, long hair that draped over his shoulders, and.. small breasts. He quickly ran to the mirror to check, and it was true, the potion had worked. Alex was now a female! She couldn't believe it worked so well, she felt and looked amazing. Full of energy, she would quickly get dressed and run down and out the door, sprinting out of town and into the forest, jumping through trees and giggling to herself.

This was it, this is what she needed to be happy, to be someone new who can be whoever she wants, someone brave enough to help and protect those she loves. She climbed the thighest tree and watched the sun rise, and as she watched she would start to cry, having wasted so much of her time and life being so sad and lonely. But no more. With a new body she needed a new name, something fitting... she felt like something in her mind whispered to her, a name that was perfect. Rylie.

Back in The Enchanted Lands, King Glarend had heard of Ivy's research in exotic plants and dimensional research through word of mouth and decided to offer her a place to stay in the lovely New Terra in exchange for her research and knowledge, the two of them would move to New Terra together, the city with banned magic and mechanics.
