Poor Terrible, he has heard a dragon has been spotted at the local beach. He made the long journey all the way across town at full speed. excited to finally get to meet another dragon. He landed on a strange branch and started looking about. No dragon to be found. The locals must be mistaking lesser creatures as dragons again. Clearly there was no dragon on the beach other than himself. Disappointed again.
Jojer's long snooted critter was immensely fun to draw. I am so looking forward to doing another art raffle like this.

This looks really good! I love the detail you put into all the background aspects of it. It looks like a really gorgeous beach! I really think the only thing that would add yo it is some sand texture/fade at the base of objects and not just the linework, and also dynamic lighting.
They're in a sunny beach but the shading mostly seems similar to what you do with regular pin ups and pieces. It's something I still really struggle with, and something that takes a bit of time to figure out, and would take your good piece you have here to a great piece.

Lighting, texture and shading are definitely weak points for me. I need a lot more practice with them. I really need to do more full pieces like this so I can get some practice and improve on them. Next time you see me do something without a full background that needs one, please remind me of this and slap me.
No slap needed, like I said I think it looks really good! It's just those little extra bits that can be added. If you have a good camera, you can take texture pictures to add, or there's free to use textures as well. I've used them plenty of times for art, just messing with opacity and layer properties just to add a little nuance to the rest of it.
