Special Easter Egg painted bloons somehow start turning the monkeys into helpless rabbits... Well, I mean, they can still fight back, they'd just have to get used to the new body.
So I guess its just more of an inconvenient seasonally-themed scheme...

As annoying as it might be to the monkeys to suddenly be rabbits the bright side is that the bloons decided to stop trying to eradicate them and chill out for the season at least. Unless turning them into rabbits is part 1 of a larger scheme of course
