When playing paper mario 64 on the Switch and seeing some pictures of the shaman/ancient mario characters I thought to make one myself, originally she was just gonna be a regular shaman, but when talking to a friend of mine, it sparked a idea of her being a "Dragon Shaman" since Dragons have wisdom, and some are magical plus ancient (which is what I think they are also called in Super Paper Mario), plus but a new way to incorporate some dragon and humanoid like stuff.

So Merlinda is made as a Dragon Shaman who has very strong magic, but a big love for snacks and dessert but loves shiny treasures and giving some nice buffs and luck to travelers.

She also likes big men (strength and bulk/fat) which leads to how the encounter of her happened:


-Merlinda's Story-

In a far away lands where fiery dragon like beasts roam and special race of Shamans reside that turn into dragons there lived a female shaman dragoness named Merlinda who is known as one of the biggest known females. Her knowledge, her magic and special dances to make good things happen caused lots of tourists to come and visit her as she as for food or shiny treasures for her services but in turn she sometimes sees them getting big which some of the tourists leave looking like they caught the Blorbs but its just their food is massive and addicting to the tourists which of course makes sense of the sizes due to the dragon shamans who feast big meals.

Merlinda wants to find a good location to server a big strong fiery guy which no luck since most are just toads and regular koopas and so forth which aren't much fire in them that she likes. but she isn't one to disappoint them so she still does her assisting with a smile and shows them her dragoness form with glee, of course shes also known as a descendant of a ancient dragoness shaman who was so strong and powerful that some in ancient times request her aid of her strong powers to protect others which she is known for. Merlinda is more the happy and cheerful type who has a fiery spirit, and these days not many ask for protection or anything so she's been enjoying herself to what she likes to do and help others with fortune and magic.


-Backstory of meeting Merlinda-

In a far out land King Drewser heard of some powerful shaman that resides in a place called Dragonfang Valley which is home to many firey beasts which King Drewser met and was given a warm welcome.

Drewser then asked about the Shaman Dragoness that lives around here, a Lot of the residents were amazed I knew about her as they guided him to a massive den where they say she's inside the den. Drewser then entered the den and lit a blue flame on a torch and ventured deeper, as he disappeared into the den the residents then said among themselves "Woo... He breaths blue fire AND hes pretty bulky and big too... Merlinda is gonna like this guy"

meanwhile in Merlinda's Den a shaman female was sleeping on some massive pillows which Drewser didn't wanna interrupt her nap but wanna recruit her he then takes one more step and a voice is heard. "Well now... Very rare I get guests in my den..." She gets up and begins walking towards the big koopa and poked his rounded belly with a gleam in her eye "with a Hunky bulk and gem too...~<3 " Drewser couldn't help be blush at the sudden approach of the shaman.

She then realized she haven't introduced herself and steps back "Oh! where are my manners! I am..." she begins dancing and her body begins to glow and a purplish pink flames swirled and formed around her as she transformed into her dragoness form who is huge and taller than Drewser a good bit. "Merlinda the Shaman Dragoness!" with her arms out and her magic flames floomping outta sight with her massive belly in front of him bouncing. Drewser couldn't help but clap at her as she bows happily of appealing her guest.

she then lays on her side on her pillows which seem to be her appropriate size now then asks "So what's a big guy like you doing around these parts hm?" Drewser then asked about looking for a shaman recruit for his land and heard of her from some Toads and Koopas and thought to find her to ask if she's willing to join him.
Merlinda ponders a bit and looks at him closely eyeing him up and down especially his belly and begins to think. "Hmm... ok sweetie let me make you a deal." She snaps her fingers and made a big buffet fit for a dragon king appear, and looks very delicious and smelled good too making Drewser mouth water "If you can eat all of this, Ill join you. but if you don't then no deal, hows that sound? ~<3" she says with a glee in her voice. Drewser nods and cracks his knuckles and begins chowing down which making Merlinda smile happily seeing him packing the feast away like a king.

Hours later there was a thick drumstick left and a bloated and rolly polly stuffed drewser reaching for it and devours the last drumstick defeating the feast before him and lets out a fiery blue flaming belch that lit the den in a blue glow as Merlinda is smiling happily and beings rubbing the stuffed to the brim girth as she says "good job big guy~<3 now lets head back to your kingdom you earn a good rest after that feast don't you think?" she says with a giggle but realized I was asleep from such a feast she blushes and rubs the glunking girth thinking (Wow... such a appetite and a big guy I think I found my new master to join such a big sleepy head ~<3) and pack her things with a simple snap of her fingers and all in a special bag and begins carrying the massive food ballooned stuffed Drewser to his home after finding out where he was from from the residents.

Merlinda then fly's off with her new king to server as she thinks to herself "Im going to love this new place Im sure... Especially if i get to make this big guy bigger at times~<3" and she fly's out of view and Drewser gets a new recruit.

She has a few attacks/moves (if in paper mario or rpg)

-Magical Flame (burns a enemy with a hot blaze)
-Dragon Dance (turns into a Fire breathing Dragon to do mainly Fire Breath for that turn)
-Lucky Dance (does a magical Dance to give a Buff(or Heal) to her and allies)
-Dragon Inferno (Turns into Dragon and does massive fire damage to all foes)
