Before Kovu grew up completely he was a teenager, and by that time Nuka was probably close to maturity. With hate growing in his veins for his brother, and a ever growing desire to be his mother's favorite, Nuka was unable to comprehend how stupid, unmotivated and childish Kovu was capable of being. Why did Scar pick this foolish, silly, lazy, stupid cub over him? And why had his mother gone along with it even after Scar's death.

Even now, Zira could easily over turn Scar's old ruling... So why didn't she?
