Ever since Taka started visiting the GraveYard, the hyenas accepted him as a member of the clan. One hyena, Aina, favored him. She was like a mother to him during his personal strife. But now she was about to become a real mother. When word of the bird reached Taka he raced to meet the new arrival. Once there, though, he hesitated in the presence of the new life.

“Taka, come closer dear.” She said with a chuckle. “she wont bite.”

As taka neared, looking over Aina's back at the new baby, he had to resist the urge to yell out of joy.

“Her name is Shenzi. Tell me dear… Have you ever had the chance to be an older brother?”

Those words moved Taka. he knew from that moment that he would do anything to make sure that Shenzi lived a good life.
