Melody composed in 1601, by German organist and composer Hans Leo Hassler (1564-1612). The song is also known as "O Sacred Head, Surrounded" and "O Sacred Head, Now Wounded," among many other titles. I felt that this was an appropriate upload for Good Friday.

The synthesized violin parts were created using my electric violin as a MIDI instrument, connected to my computer via Line In, and fed into a plugin that converts pitch from any audio input, to MIDI notes. The plugin was then set up to send these MIDI notes to my favorite Yamaha DX7 software synthesizer.

It isn't often that I upload religious music, though I do have my favorites, and I eventually would like to give them a go and share them with you guys. ^^
