A biosynthetic like Phyve, who is responsible for maintaining the many nodes of his neural network, has to ensure he keeps himself in proper shape... Routine systems checks are a must, and after wear and fighting, limb replacements made to protect the petabytes of data inside his flesh. He feels no pain during the procedure, acknowledging the lack of his arm as it is taken away and a new one brought in its place, the wiring reweaving like muscle into his non-organic vessel. The data inside his mind is integrity checked, and his body's multi-sensor capacities tested... Emulating, in the slightest sense, what he believes the organics must feel regularly. Though he knows his body self-repairs itself from the advanced nanotechnology inside of it, he still humors himself with the bytes of data that remind him of his prototypes, and allows himself to remember his beginnings through the scans... And sometimes, it's just faster maintenance.
