You get a lot of art and fiction featuring TF as punishment, but you know what's adorable? TF as a gift or reward. When a spirit of the wild, or some otherworldly entity whose perception of reality is a step removed from a human's, gives you the greatest magical present it can come up with: fur and a tail.
