Again a pretty great read! A few hiccups here and there, mut thats mostly nit picking with the flow. (For example the repetition of the endings: “[…] the area that was bitten.” And in the next sentence: “[…] the hand that was bitten.”)
As I said I am being nitpicky here!
I really loved the idea of the emotional change in the end, while not directly affecting his consciousness, but still inciting a change in behavior.
