Great design, This is so reminiscent of those wonderful, Stylistic images from the likes of Disney during the 1950s.

It was inspired by the animated musicians that appear 3/4 of the way through the video for Donald Fagan's "New Frontier". The people who produced the video did use some vintage '50s material... anyway, thanks for the kind words!

Thanks for asking. I used a #2 'round' brush with India ink for the outlines (almost all of my linework is done with a brush), and fine Micron + a medium Sharpie for the solid black area.
