I heard about that contest. This is really awesome and honestly one of the best works I have personally seen on this site in a long time. I think that would be an amazing card image.

If you don't win, you should consider working with an artists that make custom pokemon cards using this picture. Would make a great momento for yourself. I'd buy a few as well cause it's such a neat little thing.

The paint style is so good because the rain doesn't put thin lines through the electricity, which is really should be part of the character focus too. The colors aren't so sharp that a compression would cause problems(educated guess); and I can easily see this as a marketable image for Pikachu, considering the newer, more realistic feel that Poke'mon Legends Arceas was going, IMO.
